Background notes from Editor, Sam Simmons: [1] FWJ - Folkife West Journal.Originally published separately to our Folk West, later Folklife West, FW magazine.
This magazine, published by Folklife, was intended to continue the work of the former ‘Somers Journal’ published by the Somers Folk Club.
§  Worcestershire Folklife: the Folklife West Journal, Nº. 1”  was a special issue for Worcestershire, assisted by a Awards for All grant (covering 1 issue only), so the contents included both ‘folklife’ and ‘folk club’ material, and it was distributed free to Worcs local community groups, venues, clubs, Tourist Offices, libraries.
FWJ was then published irregularly (due to lack of time and money) and over time, contents gradually became more focused on ‘folklife’, with ‘folk club’ elements (eg folk CDs) being transferred to our Folk West magazine.

Very occasionally, certain images from libraries were permitted as is in print, but permitted only as a low-resolution version for online reproduction.
Articles listed in this colour (dark red on my screen) were originally print-only, and were not included in PDFs.
1. For the late Dave Jones' articles: these are from his book, "The Roots of Welsh Border Morris book," available from  Annie Jones (contact editor for details).
2. For Charles Menteith’s articles, due to changes in available fonts, we can't reprint to make new pdfs, but can access text of articles on request.
